Total Energies opened registration for the 3rd edition of the Startup of the Year Challenge, a contest whose objective is to support young African entrepreneurs between the ages of 18 and 35, as well as companies up to 03 years old, with innovative ideas and with a positive impact on their communities and the planet.
For this 2021 edition, and where entries go until the 23rd of December next, 3 prizes will be awarded:
- Award for the best business creation project;
- Award for the best start-up under 3 years old;
- Best Entrepreneur Award.
According to the official communiqué of the organizers of the contest, for the prize The Best Entrepreneur will apply for one of the two categories above. She can receive a maximum of 2 awards: her category and the Best Entrepreneur award, and where the latter award is defined according to her personality and background.
BUT: Meet the winners of the 2 edition of Total StartUpper
Contest winners will be analyzed according to three evaluation criteria: Sustainable development, Innovative Character e Sustainability.
For the winning startup there is a wide range of benefits, such as Financial support, Visibility in the Media e Personalized Monitoring, to which Total Energies already accustomed them in the 1st and 2nd edition of the competition.
As already mentioned, applications go until December 23, 2021, and from January 21, 2022 to February 04, candidates are encouraged to share their applications during the “Shares For Likes” event, where the 15 contest finalists. The pitches of the selected projects will take place from March 28 to April 15, 2022, and the winner of this 3rd edition will be known on April 18 of that year.
It should also be informed that in the 2nd edition of the contest, the startup Kubinga was the big winner, while the sanitation project “Angola 100Lixo” and the country address geolocation project called ” Platform Where” were the 2nd and 3rd placed, respectively.
