The jury of the StartUpper competition of the Year Total announced yesterday the three winners and the female highlight prize winner during an official ceremony held in Luanda.

The first-place prize was awarded to Darry Nequetela, creator of the software "Kubinga", An application that offers freedom of mobility to society, with the simplification of access to transport. It should be noted that the same project was the Seedstars Luanda 2018,

Anjo Fudiela was runner-up in this 2nd edition, with the sanitation project “Angola 100Lixo", While the third classified was Fernando Domingos, with the project of geolocation of addresses of the Country denominated" Platform Where".

For the participation of the 2ª edition of the 2018 / 2019 startup contest, were registered 110 candidates, of which 80 women.

The winners, in addition to the professional support, through a business incubator and also a communication campaign to give visibility to their projects, received prizes distributed as follows: AKz 1,8 million (for the third), 2,7 million kwanzas (2) 4,5 million for the first ranked.

At the award announcement ceremony, the director of the French oil company Total E&P Angola, Olivier Jouny, said that the projects of the winners will be announced, to be known and obtain other funding.

The intention of Total is to support the socio-economic development of the countries where it is established and contributes locally to the strengthening of the social fabric, through the support provided to the most innovative entrepreneurs, for the realization of their projects.

The "Featured Women" award was awarded to one of the finalists to encourage the project and will also receive financial assistance and a trip to Paris to interact with young local entrepreneurs. The ambassador of this edition is Erickson Mvezi, CEO and founder of home delivery company, Tupuca.
