Currently, the ATM network in Angola is controlled by EMIS (Empresa Interbancária de Serviços, SA), which, through the latest news,  to lose monopoly of Multicaixa network in 2019, this is because Law 5 / 2005, of 29 of July, that regulates means and systems of payment will undergo a revision from 2019.

But it seems that in 2018 the multi-box network was on the rise, because withdrawals from ATMs reached 1.915 billion Kwanzas and purchases via TPA reached 1.877 billion Kwanzas, which amounted to an amount equivalent to 3.792 billion Kwanzas .

The value of transactions via multicash (ATM) and automatic payment terminals (TPA), grew 21% in 2018 compared to the same period last year, according to EMIS indicators for the last two years. Last year, withdrawals from ATMs reached 1,9 billion Kz and purchases via TPA reached 1,8 billion kz, which totaled 3,7 billion kz.

In what month of the year did the largest flow of transactions take place?

O December of 2018 was where the largest number of trades occurred representing 444 billion of Kwanzas traded in TPA and ATM. Regarding transaction movements, last year registered a growth of 19% of movements in automatic payment means, which represented in 458 millions of transactions, being 307 millions in ATMs and 151 millions in transactions via automated payment terminals .

It is important to note that the EMIS indicators show that 6,39 is currently registered in millions of valid multivalued cards, but only 4,57 million active cards, numbers greater than 2017 when valid 5,86 cards were counted and 4,16 active cards.
