The first edition of 2016's StartupDojo was dedicated to women. The event was focused on innovative projects developed by women.
1. Woman Power
To begin sharing information, Mauro Yange presented the projects of women entrepreneurs around the world, with ideas of great success, thus generating several jobs and a considerable profit.
Our acquaintance Rosema Matias represented the team of Youth Band, showing how the project began and what were the reasons that led to the creation of the press version of the magazine.
3. Young woman
Natália Damião brought the project Young Woman, a blog dedicated to women, as the name implies, bringing current themes to promote debate and clarify specific issues.
4. On time
Carolina Barros spoke about the communication agency “On Time”, well known today. In parallel, he also exposed some important concepts about the integration of women in the most diverse professional areas.
5. CodingDojo: Ruby
Vanda Oliveira spoke a little about the programming language “Ruby”, highlighting a worldwide movement created by female programmers, the group “Rail Girls“. With a basic programming session, it was possible to arouse the audience's curiosity.
* The event also had the special (remote) participation of Cláudia Van Der Drast, An Angolan resident in the Netherlands who is currently the ambassador for Seedstars World for Africa.
We look forward to the next StartupDojo.
