The international operator Vodacom, launched on South Africa through its Siyakha Platform (in Portuguese it means we are building), a mobile service called A Mum and Baby for pregnant women.

Mum and Baby will provide free SMS and videos about the various stages of pregnancy and child development in the first five years of life. And it will cover a range of topics, from sexual and reproductive health, information about pregnancy, breastfeeding, immunization, mother-child bonding, early childhood development, nutrition and HIV / AIDS.

Nyimpini Mabunda, Director of the Consumer Business Unit, said that with the increase in users in South Africa, mobile phones are becoming an effective way to get educational material.

Over the years, Vodacom has been able to optimize mobile communication technologies, with the development of mobile solutions that deal with socioeconomic challenges. The introduction of the Mum & Baby mobile service allows you to offer yet another value-based product to your customers in a language of your choice.

While the solution is aimed at pregnant women who do not always have access to health facilities nearby, it can also be used by family caregivers, who will empower them with information and tools that they can use in their daily lives for the environment of work.

A good solution for Angola too?
