WhatsApp doubles the capacity of members in groups (512) and increases file size

The instant messaging app WhatsApp recently announced that it will double its membership capacity in a group, from 256 to 512 participants.

According to official statement, this new functionality is being launched constantly, so very soon it will cover all users of the application.

Another novelty of the application is that it will increase the size of files to be shared, that is, it will now be possible send files up to 2GB as opposed to the current 100MB.

WhatsApp claims that shared files are protected by end-to-end encryption, and where shared files will be displayed with the amount of time for uploads and downloads.
