WhatsApp will allow you to send photos that automatically disappear

O WhatsApp is working on what may become one of the next great features of the platform, namely, the ability to send photos and videos that disappear as soon as the participant leaves the conversation.

The first evidence appeared for the first time earlier this year, in March. In practice, it allows people to send messages with a predefined expiration time. Then, in July, WhatsApp started testing all of this in version 2.20.197.4 beta and introduced some improvements to the interface. Although this news has not yet reached the final version, it is already in beta. The new feature includes an icon that, when activated, defines that the file - image, video or GIF - be deleted after the user leaves the conversation. The system is similar to the feature popularized on Snapchat and later donated by Telegram and even in the direct Instagram.

You can also configure the content to be deleted immediately after viewing the recipient. So far, the function seems to leave no trace - that is, after the image disappears, there is no message like "media expired", unlike messages deleted in the app.
