The third edition of the championship of electronic games in virtual car racing, called “Speed eRacing”, has already been launched, which aims to professionalize sports activity in the country.
With the seal of Refriango and AOX Games, Speed eRacing consists of the participation of a race composed of six virtual cars, which compete against each other, where this 2023 edition expects to bring together more than five thousand Angolan competitors, over 15 years of age .
For Ascenso Mavita, manager of Speed and one of the organizers of the event, the eliminations will be done in stages, the first being from June 26th to July 9th, resulting in the selection of the 12 best finalists.
The second, according to the person in charge, runs from July 10th to 30th, in which 12 finalists will also be selected, the third stage, which will determine the choice of finalists, will take place from August 15st to 26th and the grand finale is scheduled for the XNUMXth of the same month.
He also informed that the first classified will receive the value of 750.000 thousand kwanzas, the second 350 thousand kwanzas and the third the value of one hundred thousand kwanzas, respectively.
"There is a huge community of young e-sports lovers who fear the opportunity to show their skills and improve themselves in international events.”, said Ascenso Mavita, in an interview with ANGOP.
It should be noted that the first and second edition of Speed eRacing were in 2021 and 2022, respectively, with the participation of more than eight thousand gamers.
In addition to the competition, Speed eRacing 2023, the event will also promote discussions on themes that cut across the universe, including “Artificial Intelligence within eSports”, Professionalization of the eSport Market in Angola”, Games and Education“ and eSport as a modality Olympic.
