Entries for the 6 DStv Eutelsat Star Awards are already open and invite the youngsters of secondary and secondary education in Angola once again to participate in this contest of continental prestige.
Aimed at all high school students with an interest in satellite technologies, the Eutelsat DStv Star Awards challenge students to draw up a wording or design a poster on how satellites help understand and care for Planet Earth.
For this edition, the awards have as a topic: "Imagine yourself as a scientist of the future with the task of designing a next-generation satellite that will help improve the lives of Africans. What name you would give your satellite and what different contributions this would give Africa of the future. "
According to Eduardo Continentino, Director General of MultiChoice Angola, in addition to its business orientation, MultiChoice remains strongly committed to social responsibility in the communities in which it operates. "The Star Awards have given many young people the opportunity to take an interest in a topic that is part of their daily lives: satellite technology, the importance of which has often been overlooked."

Institutional partners of the contest are the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technologies and the Angola Media Network. The application forms can be obtained from any DStv store or by downloading in the website www.dstvstarawards.com . Applications must be submitted in Portuguese.
Application deadline
Entries will be open until 7 of November of 2016 and, according to the competition rules, only the applications submitted in the proper form will be eligible.
Election of winners
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in February of 2017.
