The Africell will arrive in the near future in 4 more provinces of Angola, namely Huambo, Cabinda, Huíla and Zaire, thus totaling 6 (Luanda and Benguela), at a time when it already has more than seven million customers in just one year of operations.

From what the editorial office of MenosFios found, the delay in the process of expanding the Africell network across the country is not due to a financial problem, but structural, as well as other issues.

"We have to do works in all provinces, we have to import material, install, optimize, license and test. All this work takes time and the delay has nothing to do with the financial issue.“, said Gonçalo Farias, administrator for strategy at Africell.

speaking in the V Expansão Journal Digital Transformation Forum, the manager also stressed that the difficulties are faced with the ability to ensure that manufacturers supply the necessary equipment within the stipulated dates, reiterating that there is a great demand for telecommunications equipment all over the world.

As for the pressure exerted by the media and customers on Africell not having national coverage, Gonçalo Farias used the case of Unitel as an example, which took three years to expand beyond the borders of Luanda and six years to reach national coverage, noting that Africell has been operating for less than a year.
