Angola Cables provides broadband Internet in six African countries

Angola Cables, the Angolan telecommunications multinational, signed a partnership agreement with the Ghanaian CSquared to expand its broadband Internet in six more African countries, the company announced this Monday, without disclosing the value of the investment.

Uganda, Ghana, Liberia, Kenya, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) are the six African countries where CSquared operates and where Angola Cables' broadband Internet will be available, under the scope of the partnership agreement.

According to a statement, through this agreement with Angola Cables, CSquared “reinforces its ability as a provider to offer connections to high-quality broadband networks to local Internet service providers and mobile network operators in the main African cities".

"Thus allowing them to reach Angola and other locations in the Angola Cables network, generating an inclusive connectivity impact for the socioeconomic development of the region”, reads the note quoted by Lusa.

The partnership of the Angolan telecommunications multinational “is part of the plan to ensure greater proximity to the markets in Angola, Brazil and the United States of America by making a set of technological resources available to service providers".
