The Angola Cables in Fortaleza, Brazil, received the Tier III Certification from the Uptime Institute.  The certification recognizes the operational efficiency of the infrastructure and facilities built in December of 2018.

Construction of the station began early in 2017. The infrastructure was built to accommodate the Many, the international subsea telecommunications cable system that connects the USA, to Fortaleza and Santos, in Brazil. The construction of the facility resulted from the need to have a fully functional station, now certified.

This is the first time a Tier III facility has been built in the region to support an undersea cable and its backhaul, reducing fault points and ensuring the availability of sustained uptime.

António Nunes, CEO of Angola Cables, said that certifications such as the one granted to the MONET Landing Station by the Uptime Institute puts our infrastructures at a level of excellence and quality of customer service that we can be proud of. It also gives us qualified guarantees that we are one step closer to realizing our ambitions to provide mission-critical Data Centers that will attract digital companies looking for low-latency connections with greater data transmission and data storage capabilities - all within a reliable and highly stable environment.
