The country currently has more than 15 million users of different types of phones, from analog phones to smartphones, according to data released by the National Directorate of Telecommunications and Information Technologies.
The figures were released on the 10th of March, International Telephone Day, where the reforms carried out by the Angolan Government in all segments of the national economy resulted, in 2020, in the inauguration of the first telephone assembly factory in Luanda.
BUT: More than 60% of Angolans abandoned landlines
According to the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication (MINTTICS), with the entry into operation of the respective factory in the national territory, access to digital and analogue telephones was only facilitated.
