Edilson Coelho, general director of Setic-FP and the director-president of Serpro, Alexandre Amorim, were part of the cooperation signature, with the aim of intensifying discussions on collaboration between public data processing companies in both countries.

The Brazilian state-owned company is studying closer relations with the Information and Communication Technologies Service for Public Finance (Setic-FP), an institution created in 2015 by the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Angola. Setic-FP has the mission of establishing norms and standards for technological infrastructures and for the development of information systems in the finance segment.

According to Alexandre Amorim, the partnership between Serpro and Setic-FP provides for a list of activities that include research, software development, technology transfer, sharing of intellectual capital, specialized labor, qualification and training.

“Given Setic-FP's mission and Serpro's experience in large technological solutions, we studied a cooperation agreement to support the Angolan State to develop government services guaranteeing the reliability, integrity and confidentiality of data, promoting an integrated vision of information and the improvement of services provided to society in that country”, detailed Amorim.

Edilson Coelho, general director of Setic-FP, spoke about the relevance of this partnership between the entities. “Setic-FP is very much looking forward to the future cooperations to be signed, which will represent a historic milestone for the technological development of public finances”, said Coelho. “The institutional approximation made today with Serpro is the beginning of a trajectory where both parties have, on their agendas, specific needs whose purpose is based on the development of human capital and the improvement of the efficiency of public services provided to citizens”, he declared.

"Science and research will be part of the cooperation. Our data processing and information technology agencies will develop software together, with extensive sharing of intellectual capital”, said President Lula. Serpro, the largest public IT company in the world, is part of Brazil's efforts to exchange innovation and offer innovative solutions with global application.
