What to do if contacts are not showing up on iPhone

1344

O iPhone replaced several things, like probably his camera and his notebook/notepad. Another example was the contact book — with the benefit that you'll never lose it, as the information is in the cloud.

As in practice not everything turns out to be perfect, it may be that these contacts end up being lost due to some unidentified problem. In such cases, some simple tips can help resolve this.

See what can be done!

  • Check if your device has the Apple ID where your contacts are stored. You can check this by opening Settings, tapping your name (at the top of the screen) and checking your email address at the top.
  • In iCloud settings, make sure “Contacts” is turned on. Tap your name (at the top of Settings), scroll to “iCloud” and “Show All” under “Apps that use iCloud”. Then check “Contacts”. If you need to, deactivate it, check “Keep on My iPhone” or “Delete from My iPhone”, wait a few seconds and activate it again.
  • With the Contacts app open, select “Lists” (in the upper left corner) and “All Contacts”. See, then, if they are showing up.
  • Log out of your iCloud account and log back in to the device. Open Settings, tap your name and then “Logout”.
  • Make sure the accounts are synced to your iPhone. Open Settings, tap “Contacts” and then “Accounts”. Then select one of them and see if “Contacts” is checked.
