"Learn. Get inspired. Change your world ”. That was the slogan that Microsoft Angola, in partnership with the NGO World Learning International Development Programs, used to launch its “YouthSpark” campaign.

YouthSpark is an initiative to train young people in new technologies so that they can take full advantage of it, thus having more opportunities for education, employment and also turning to entrepreneurship. The campaign is aimed at creating opportunity for 300 million young people in more than 100 countries over the next three years. For Angola, the available programs include, according to Angop, a Learning Partners Network such as the Microsoft Information Technology Academy, DreamSpark, Image Cup and BizSpark.

This is one of the first steps of the Microsoft 4 Africa Initiative, which aims to encourage young people to know and use new technologies, thus being better able to fight unemployment. Students at Universidade Lusíada de Angola will have the opportunity to have a day of learning in the use of tools, platforms and best practices made available by Microsoft and at the end of this year the information giant will advance with a teacher training program. Among other points, the company also intends to launch an unemployment portal through local and private partnerships.

Keep in mind that good training and opportunities are coming along with Microsoft Angola.
