Angola present at the International World Conference on Science Parks and Innovation Areas

Angola recently participated in the 40th World Conference of the International Association of Science Parks and Innovation Areas, where it presented best practices and trends in the construction of the Science and Technology Park, highlighting its management and sustainability.

BUT: First stone laid for Luanda Science and Technology Park

The Angolan delegation was led by experts from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (MESCTI), where they were able to visit Belval Science City, training in the management of science parks and innovation areas, and on September 14th it was held the IASP General Assembly, which ratified the approval of Luanda Tech as an Affiliate Member of the Association.

"Luanda Tech is the main objective of the Science and Technology Development Project (PDCT), a project being carried out by MESCTI, co-financed by the Government of Angola and the African Development Bank“, can be read in the statement shared by Jornal de Angola.

The national delegation was led by the Secretary of State for Science, Technology and Innovation, Alice de Ceita e Almeida, and also included the National Director of Science, Technology and Innovation, António de Alcochete, the rector of the Agostinho Neto University, Pedro Magalhães, and other senior staff from that ministerial department.
