Angola to have first Internet traffic exchange interconnection forum

Currently in Angola, there is a concern to make the Internet service faster and with better quality, with the aim of providing faster access to end customers. Angola Peering Forum APF (Angolan Traffic Exchange Forum) will meet on 29 / 11 / 2019 at 08: 30 at Hotel Palmeiras, national and international telecommunications and information technology specialists.

In order to find the best interconnection solutions between national and international networks, the organization APF (Angola Peering Forum) / AOG (Angolan Network Operators Group) decided to bring together experts from the most diverse telecommunications and information technology sectors in Luanda from 29 to 30 November at the Palmeiras Suite Hotel, to discuss best interconnection practices for Internet traffic exchange.

Darwin Costa, the driver of this initiative, points out that the event will not only include Angolan specialists from the sector, several speakers from countries such as Germany, South Africa, Brazil, Portugal and Paraguay will share experiences implemented in their countries.

“The primary initiative in organizing this event is that we can really allow exchanges between international and national experts and apply best practices in our work environment.” - Darwin Coast, chiefly responsible for the event which in turn was the first Angolan to be part of the committee of the largest interconnection event in the world the Global Peering Forum.

Approximately two months after the event, there was a grip that surprised the organization of the event, the number of participants already registered (90) and the event will have a capacity of (100) people.

About Angola Peering Forum

APF (Angolan forum for traffic exchange), is an event that will happen once a year in a random city in Angola. In addition to the annual event, a group of individuals will be charged with writing to share with the local community for the purpose of sharing knowledge.
