AOPF&AONOG: How many IPv4 addresses are there in Angola?

1960

As we know, in the world of the Internet all devices have an IP address. In fact, it is nothing less than an identification number. Any device for surfing the Internet has its unique IP address for sending and receiving information. IP stands for Internet Protocol or, in Portuguese, Internet Protocol. This is the address on the network, that is, the data necessary for internet connections to be established.

Currently the world has a shortage of IPv4, the only continent with IP(s) still available in the world is the African continent, where AFRINIC is the entity responsible for allocating/assigning IP addresses. The allocation of these addresses is only done after plausible justification by ISP's (Internet Providers), IXP's (traffic exchange points), IT companies, Universities, etc.

How many IPv4 numbers are there in Angola?

According to data presented by AFRINIC, Angola has so far issued 4,936 to the most varied public and private companies.

How is the African continent doing in terms of exhaustion?

As for exhaustion, there are currently only 1.224,960 IPv4 available, with 87,7504% already consumed. These alarming numbers show that companies must start adopting IPv6 now, to prevent the previous version from running out.
