Mobility apps in Angola are reinforcing PREI

Existing mobility applications in Angola are contributing to the removal of thousands of young people from informality in Angola, reinforcing the Informal Economy Reconversion Program (PREI), designed by the Angolan Government.

This idea was formulated at the last International Forum on Sharing Economy, where among transport applications the highlight is HEETCH, which through its road mobility application has already formalized the activity of more than 3 thousand drivers who practice the profession, without complying with tax obligations, for example, informed the company's marketing director, Sandro Briffe.

Speaking to ANGOP, the manager emphasizes, in addition to reinforcing the reconversion of informal activity, his company's application has also contributed to the movement of thousands of citizens in the country's capital.

Sandro Briffe also highlights that the application gives citizens the opportunity to put their vehicles at the service of Heetch, to generate income, that is, “the company does not only work with its cars, relying on third-party vehicles”, he informed.

Already T'Leva, also one of the mobility applications used by national society, revealed that it has already created a thousand more formal jobs, investing in the transformation of the informal economy into a formal one.

With the same objective is also the Tupuca, an online marketplace platform that allows users to order meals, anywhere within Luanda, for example.

According to the general director of this company, Erickson Mvezi, Tupuca's initiative made it possible to remove hundreds of motorcyclists or motorcycle taxis from informality, providing a source of income for many families.

The impact of the sharing economy on urban mobility, as well as on the real estate and hotel sector was one of the main themes that dominated the first edition of the International Forum on Sharing Economy, which took place at the premises of the National School of Administration and Public Policies (ENAPP), in a initiative by the companies Tech21 Africa and Wedo Brand.
