Asus introduced the smartphone Zenfone AR, the first with Google Tango

A Asus used the event CES 2017 of Las Vegas to introduce Zenfone AR, a smartphone that uses augmented reality technology Google Tango and the first of the brand with support for the virtual reality technologies of the DayDream.

Zenfone AR has a capacity of up to 8 GB of RAM, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 quad-core processor and a 5,7 Super AMOLED screen with 2560x1440px resolution. It also has an intermediate resolution between Full HD and 4K. Zenfone AR is the first Asus to have this image quality.

The new Asus samrtphone will be available with storage options up to 256GB, this also includes a slot for microSD memory cards, a 23MP rear camera with motion sensors, a 8MP front camera, a 3300 mAh battery, the operating system is the Android 7.0 Nougat and ZenUI 3.0, and NFC connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11a / b / g / n / ac and Bluetooth 4.2.

Zenfone AR also features an 2 Super AMOLED 5,7K screen and a five-element speaker that allows Daydream's VR experiences in applications, games and videos to become more immersive and fun.

Tango is software integrated with a set of sensors and computer vision from Google that allows smartphones to have augmented reality. Daydream is a Google platform for high-quality mobile virtual reality and supports Daydream VR applications.

The Zenfone AR, will hit stores in the second quarter of this year. At the moment no indication of the price was given.
