A malfunction in the company's operational management computer system TAAG-Linhas Aéreas de Angola, at February 4th International Airport, was behind the delay of several flights, particularly to the cities of Maputo (Mozambique), Cabo, Johannesburg (South Africa), Windhoek (Namibia) and Lisbon (Portugal), between 5 and 11 a.m. Sunday.

From what is revealed by a source from the Angolan flag company ANGOP, the constraints occur due to a temporary downtime of the computer system and which the technicians promptly resolved after almost five hours, restoring normality and passengers boarding for their destinations .

The source, who requested anonymity, revealed that the failure of the computer system at the 4 de February Airport has been frequent and is already within the domain of the TAAG Technical Department, which is why he does not understand why it has not yet been resolved.

"Whenever this happens, we inform our passengers and immediately take the necessary measures to resolve the problem.”, he said, adding that, despite the delay, the passengers' situation was resolved and boarding was carried out for the five destinations.

According to the same source, 46 passengers went to Maputo, while 58 traveled to Windhoek, 157 went to Johannesburg and 102 to Cape Town, while 200 passengers went to Lisbon.
