We have recently noticed some Angolan pages in the social network Facebook with a blue icon

, surely many should really ask themselves what the meaning of this is. Looking to respond, this icon means that Facebook has confirmed that the Page or profile is authentic for this public figure, media company or brand.
According to Facebook itself, "celebrities, journalists, government officials, popular brands and companies" may have verified accounts, including personal pages and profiles. The feature was released in May of 2014, and the number of pages authenticated by the social network has been growing ever since. There are many actors, singers and athletes, for example, with the profiles verified as public person.
In Angola we have some celebrities from the music world with verified pages, such as: Anselmo Ralph, Big Nelo, C4 Pedro, Yola Semedo, among others. We also have verified pages that are not part of the music world, such as: Sapo Angola, Platinum line.
Is there any form that can be filled for Facebook to check the page?
Unfortunately the social network does not have a contact form for requesting a page verification or a procedure to be done to try to confirm your identity and authenticate your account. Therefore, it is not any celebrity, company or brand that has the page verified.
Facebook performs this scan automatically and gradually. According to the social network itself, only "some famous public figures and pages with a large number of followers are verified". For those who do not and would like to on your page, all that remains is to wait for Facebook's recognition as worthy of verification.
