More than 500 women were trained to become agents in the DDM (Digital Money is Better) project, a public-private partnership supported by the United States Government, through its Agency for International Development (USAID), and by Africell, through the Afrimoney Angola.

According to what was revealed by MenosFios, DDM is expanding financial literacy programs for women in Luanda and aims to increase financial inclusion through access to digital financing.

The program further recognizes the importance of gender diversity and inclusion, providing specialized techniques to equip women with the skills and knowledge needed to become agents of Digital Money.

BUT: Africell will invest in increasing financial literacy with projects on digital money

Under the auspices of the Partnership for Global Infrastructure and Investment (PGI), USAID's DDM project is creating an enabling environment for digital financial applications, stimulating the growth of a vibrant, secure and more inclusive digital payments ecosystem in Angola.

This partnership will support Africell's continued expansion of its 5G infrastructure to the area using reliable networks, considered fundamental to the development of the Lobito Corridor.
