If you like to look for security holes in apps, Google will reward you. If you find security holes in devices Android, you can earn a reward of up to 40.000 USD.
The company also announced a new program to ensure the security of third-party software on the Android operating system, alerting developers to stop using outdated libraries, which are potential sources of security breaches.
According to Google's statement
The new model will be called Android Security Rewards, and follows the success of a similar program for the Google Chrome web browser.
At 2014, the company paid more than 1,5 million USD for security researchers.
Developers who want to receive the reward from Google will be required to show vulnerabilities that affect Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 (devices with pure Android).
The rewards are variable, from 500 USD for a small bug presented with no extra work other than identification, up to 38 USD for a serious vulnerability and a way to resolve the anomaly.
In this way Google will try to make Android the safest platform in the market, just as you have tried with your browser, Chrome.
