Facebook one of the largest social networks in the world this morning activated its safety check feature for Nigeria to show its concern for those affected by the bombing in the city of Yola on the night of this past Tuesday.

We can see that the Zuckerberg network is fulfilling its word and showing that they are more attentive to world events, and we can see the fulfillment of the promise of extend activation  of its tool to more countries affected by disasters.

Facebook was heavily criticized for causing turmoil and dissatisfaction around the world by immediately activating its safety check tool after the attacks in Paris. And many indignants were asked: why was not the same tool activated in the previous attacks in memory of the victims of: Nigeria, Kenya, Syria, Iraq, etc ...

The explosive attack took place around 20 pm local time near a supermarket, according to witnesses and local authorities, reported that 00 people had been physically injured, and another 32 injured.

We can see the post by Mark Zuckerberg on his Facebook page:

"After the Paris bombings last week, we made the decision to activate Safety Check for more tragic events like this from now on. We are working quickly to develop criteria and policies to determine when and how this service might be most useful.

Unfortunately, these types of events are very common, so I won't be posting about all of them. The loss of human life anywhere is a tragedy, and we are committed to doing our part to help people in yet another situation. ”

As we can see in the words of Mr. Zuckerberg, it is important to create a specific criterion and policy for using this tool, so that people would not go around using it ironically, and in any minimal situation.
