Ferrari plans to enter the supercar market

Ferrari plans to make an electric supercar in order to compete with Tesla at the top of the electric car market, said the Italian company's chief executive, Sergio Marchionne.

To date, Ferrari did not dream of entering the market for electronic cars, since in 2011 Luca di Montezemolo president at the time said: “You will never see an electric Ferrari because I don't believe in electric cars, because I don't think they represent an important step towards pollution, CO2 or the environment. But, we are working very, very hard on the hybrid Ferrari. This must be the future, I hope that in a few years you will be able to see it ”. Engadget

Large models of luxury cars, those who look away from anyone on the street or at international fairs, work mostly on traditional fuel. After 7 years ago and with the change of its CEO, Ferrari changed its mind and its new CEO Marchionne is more optimistic than ever in terms of building an electric supercar in Maranello.

"If it's to build an electric supercar, Ferrari will be the first. People are excited about the Tesla supercar. I'm not trying to minimize what Elon did, but I think we can do that."Said CEO Sergio Marchionne

This is a promise and so much on the part of Sergio Marchionne. Hopefully they will execute this plan as soon as possible, since the trend of electric cars is becoming increasingly difficult to ignore it would be a shame if Ferrari does not present at least its own concept of electric car. Until then maybe we'll see a Maranello hybrid.
