Angolan fintechs are changing the country's financial services, as well as contributing to the development of emerging economies in the digital age, according to experts present at the 1st edition of the Angola Fintech Summit.

fintechs like PayPay Africa, Kubinga Wallet, BayQi and many others, give the relevance of raising awareness of the need to boost innovation in the financial sector in Angola.

The event, which connected regulators, financial institutions, telecommunications companies, fintech startups and national and international specialists, analyzed various financial topics in the panels, with emphasis on “Digital Transformation of Payments in Angola","Digital Partners and their importance for the banking ecosystem"; "Innovative solutions to improve the customer journey and access to financial services in Angola"; "Increase financial inclusion in Angola through mobile wallets".

Among the speakers stand out Joel Pitta, VISA Country Manager for Angola; Meagan Rabe, Fintech Account Management at VISA for Sub-Saharan Africa; Patrick Conteh, CEO of the Africa Fintech Network; Matteo Rizzi, Co-founder of FTSGroup and one of the founders of Innotrib (the innovation arm of SWIFT); Katarine Santos, General Director of Positiva – Gestão e Serviços Financeiros and Antonieta Gomes, Director of Mobile Financial Businesses at UNITEL Money.

The Angola Fintech Summit is an initiative conceived and implemented by H2i – Hub to Innovation, an Innovation Boutique.
