Forum on digital technologies in Africa is already tomorrow

The use of digital technologies has been a factor much discussed in the world, and has been alienated as one of the great tools to boost the development of the African continent, where questions such as: How to lead Africa's digital transformation? ou How to take advantage of the potential of our country?.

To answer a series of questions on this subject as well as others, the Angola Tech Hub forum 2022 will be carried out by the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication, in partnership with Internet Technology Angola (ITA), and will have as its motto “Leadership of Angola for Digital Transformation in Africa”.

Second Matias Borges (National Director of Telecommunications and Information Technologies), the forum is expected to bring together around 200 individuals from various social sectors and representatives of industries, hospitality, finance, education and banking.

The main objective, he highlighted, is to bring together different policy makers and members of the Government, to reflect on the potential and development of ICTs, pointing out new business solutions, within the scope of the diversification of the national economy. The forum will also contribute to the acceleration of digital technologies and the construction of robust infrastructures to correspond with the new reality.

During the meeting, a round table will also be held, which will address issues related to robust infrastructures, as catalysts for digital transformation, where participants will be representatives of Unitel, Movicel, Africell, Angola Telecom, Inacom and MS Telecom. World Telecommunications and Information Society Day has been celebrated every year on 17 May since 1969 to commemorate the founding of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and also the first signing of the International Telegraph Convention in 1865.
