Government launches technological platform to publicize the country’s potential

Angola now has a technological platform that aims to showcase a modern country of opportunities, the search for economic, social and cultural development, called “Angola Hoje”.

According to the Secretary of State for Social Communication, Nuno Caldas Albino, speaking at the technological presentation, he said that the portal will also provide detailed information on processes and services that help foreign investors to channel “investments to and in Angola".

"The portal seeks to contribute significantly to the creation of a positive and favorable opinion among Angolan citizens, inside and outside Angola, and thus facilitate being a privileged space for interaction on the various spheres of public life“, He added.

For the director of the Institute for the Promotion of Tourism (INFOTUR), Afonso Vita, “Angola Hoje” is a positive initiative, as the portal will boost information, as well as attract visitors and investors, as the platform provides also content on investment areas.

The portal brings together generalized information on national current affairs, from officials, tourism, culture, economy and investments, as well as Executive programs.

Internet users, nationally and internationally, will have access to information available in the areas of search, directory, videos, photos and news.

The Minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication, Mário Oliveira, stated that the platform will embody one of the country's governance mottos, “Work More and Communicate Better”. With this portal, he said, the aim is to show the country's potential to Angolans and foreigners, as well as the interconnection between public bodies, with diverse information for citizens and business people.

"With Angola Hoje, we intend to bring, to all latitudes, clear and credible information about the country's development in its most varied sectors“, he underlined.
