Yesterday (03) the IV Telecom Expansion Forum, of the News, where in this edition the theme was “The impact of digitization on economic activity – New concepts and new products".
The event was held in digital format, due to the restrictions imposed by the pandemic, and was opened by the Minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication, Manuel Homem.
Considered by many to be the biggest event in the Angolan telecommunications sector, this IV edition had as a discussion panel the reflection around the gains that this sector brings to the competitiveness of the national economy, as well as giving voice to some operators in the most diverse areas of activities that have already started on this path. The conference also highlighted the presentation of new products and new concepts, which for the analysts present will become part of everyone's daily lives in the short and medium term.

According to the numbers expected by the Angolan newspaper, this 2021 edition had more than 2.000 participants, in addition to the more than 200 companies present and the 60 guest speakers.
Still talking about the range of guests that the IV Telecom Expansion Forum had, highlight Helena Faria (Dir. Novos Negócios BAI), Miguel Geraldes (CEO, UNITEL), Francisco Leite (DG ITA), Pedro Beirão (DG Appy People) ), Marcus Valdez (Operation Director Multichoice/DSTV) and Pascoal Fernandes (PCA INACOM).
It should also be noted that this edition also featured several conversation panels, such as “The Challenges of Digitization in Angola” by Pedro Novo (Executive Director, EY) and “The Economic Gains with the Digitization of Economic Activity” with Pedro Cruz (KPMG), as well as a round table with the theme “The Impact of Digitization on Economic Activity. New Concepts and New Products".
