DMZ Cairo Incubator Opens Applications to Support Early-Stage Tech Startups

Applications are open for the second cycle of the startup incubator program at DMZ Cairo, which empowers tech entrepreneurs with the tools they need to build, launch, and power high-impact startups.

Headquartered in Egypt, on the UofCanada Campus, in the country's New Administrative Capital, DMZ Cairo has the support of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT) and the National Program of Technology Incubators (INTILAC).

The first class of the incubator is underway and includes seven tech startups in the travel, legal, advertising, construction, healthcare and e-commerce sectors. To accelerate the success and full potential of funders, the incubator provides a high-impact, high-intensity and highly personalized program, including fully furnished workspaces, one-on-one mentoring of leads and dedicated program mentors, peer-to-peer sessions. to-peer, expert-led workshops, networking opportunities, access to the North American startup ecosystem and much more.

Although DMZ Cairo is based on the UofCanada campus, participants do not need to be current students or affiliated with UofCanada to participate in the incubator program. Any entrepreneur who meets the eligibility criteria is welcome to apply.

The second class starts in November, where tech startups are welcome to apply by September 29, 2022.
