ISPTEC celebrates the 2nd Edition of World Engineering Day with a Technology Fair

It took place on the 04th of March at 2nd Edition of the Engineering and Technology Fair, based on the World Engineering Day for Sustainable Development, which combined with a Cycle of Lectures and a Project Exhibition Fair, at the Instituto Superior Politécnico de Tecnologias e Ciências (ISPTEC).

The cycle of lectures, which took up the morning and afternoon, allowed for the approach of various subjects related to technologies and engineering, highlighting the solemnity of the day and the importance of its commemoration, emphasizing the impact, in terms of world development, that engineering boast.

The event also featured a panel called ISPTEC Talks which focused on the approach on Entrepreneurship and the Creation of Startups, whose stakeholders subscribe: Eng. Leonel Francisco (Director of ISPTEC Professional Laboratories), Dr. Haymée Cogle (Director General of Founder Institute Luanda) and Dr. Kiesse Canito (Team Leader Tech21Africa), moderated by Prof. Lilhan Ferro Barbosa, Professor at ISPTEC and Mentor of Startups.

It should also be noted that the Projects Fair, the 2nd Edition of the Engineering and Technologies Fair, had a competitive nature in which participants submitted their projects to the appreciation of the juries, which divided the presentation contest into three categories: company category, university category e Startup-entrepreneurship category, having a posteriori culminated with the following evaluation and classification:

In the Company Category, 1st place was taken by Total Energies, 2nd by Reviva and 3rd by the Society of Entrepreneurial Women.
In the Startup and Entrepreneurship Category, 1st place was taken by startup Panorama, 2nd place by startup kino and 3rd place by startup Aries student.
In the University category, first place was taken by the project “Reuse of Loengo Pulp Waste, 2nd place by the “soda-chlorine” project and 3rd place by the project “Obtaining Bioplastic from Starch Potatoes and Cassava”.
As an added prize to first place, PMA Angola provided a project management course.
