Young Angolans should avoid excessive exposure to social networks, as they can facilitate physical or cyber attacks, according to engineer and university professor Felisberto Fato.

The academic, in a lecture on cybersecurity, promoted by the Huambo Provincial Office of Registries and Administrative Modernization, in reference to May 17, World Internet, Telecommunications and Information Society Day, reiterated that the excessive 'posting' of actions on social networks may result in physical attacks.

"Cybercrime is little known, especially in light of the new Penal Code, so it is important that people are legally framed on how to proceed in case, for example, of being the target of “fake news” (false information) and cyber scams”, he informed.
