When Konami released the Pro Evolution Soccer 2016, in September, the major complaint from users was related to team squads. When the first update arrived at the end of October, most of the transfers that took place almost two months earlier were still not included.
Konami admitted the flaw:
It has been a difficult task, with a lot of lost confidence from our fans, in the way we have been delivering content in our recent Data Packs, with some missing items that our consumers have been waiting for ”, said Erik Bladinieres by Konami Digital Entertainment
How to compensate the fans?
Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 will have an exclusive update to UEFA Euro 2016 free of charge for all users, as compensation for the failure to update the squads in the game's offline modes. No release date has been announced for this content, but as Euro 2016, runs from 10 June to 10 July 2016 in France, we will probably have the update before that. The next data package will also include a new stadium, new national team uniforms, additional clubs, and more.
UEFA, the body responsible for European football, announced in August that Konami had acquired the Euro 2016 license. Pro Evolution Soccer has been the exclusive home of the UEFA Champions League, the tournament is available in the game for free.
Certainly EA Sports fans (FIFA in particular) will not let this one escape to attack the competition…
