Ministry of Telecommunications works on the digitization of Angola's Public Television channels

The minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication, Manuel Homem, informed yesterday that his department is currently working to digitize, as soon as possible, the channels of Public Television in Angola (TPA).

Speaking to journalists at the inauguration of TPA Luanda, allusive to the 46th anniversary of public television, that is, on 18 October.

Manuel Homem stressed that the installation is an infrastructure to support the administration of the management of television services in Luanda, and not a channel itself.

In the same conversation, the director of TPA Luanda, Adelina Domingos, referred that the citizens of the country's capital can expect a job with better quality.

"Luanda is very challenging. We are ready for the challenge that lies ahead”, continued the director, who also stressed that within the work strategy and challenges outlined by the current administration, they are carried out and better prepared to cover the presidential elections in the country in 2022.

On the other hand, the Administrator for the Content area of ​​TPA, Neto Júnior, highlighted that the idea is to make workers have the best possible conditions to provide efficient and effective services, and where he mentioned that the conditions under which TPA workers worked, until very recently, were not the most dignified, hence the change for the better.

The administrator also informed that the working conditions made available to workers are not the only aspect that concerns TPA, so they are betting on improving social conditions and training to improve performance.

Please note that Public Television of Angola (TPA) is the main television broadcaster in the country. Its official headquarters are in Luanda and it was on October 18, 1975, that the first television broadcast in Angola was aired.

TPA has three channels that it broadcasts daily: TPA 1, generalist and main station of the station, TPA 2, with a focus on entertainment and youth, and TPA Internacional, to serve the Angolan diaspora and beyond, thus promoting the image of Angola across borders.
