It has been reported that Facebook is testing a new feature that will increase the link between the social network and Instagram, a function that will allow immediate sharing of content with the image social network, when it is uploaded to the Facebook. Please note that this functionality is already available for some users.
The inverse option was already possible, that is, whoever made a post on Instagram could choose, at the time or later, whether they wanted to replicate the post on Facebook. With this new functionality it is now possible to do the same from Facebook for photos, videos or albums, with a maximum of 10 photos.
BUT: New feature on Instagram will warn users about technical glitches
From what leaks the renowned platform TechCrunch, the new feature began to be made available earlier this month to some users, and it remains a global test involving only a small group of users, who already had profiles linked between the two accounts until Facebook made the official announcement.
When the news is available to all Facebook users, and you are going to make a post, you will find it in a block positioned beside the options related to who can see the posts you make and beside the option to select albums. Right below the profile picture and name. By clicking there, it will be possible to target each publication to only one or both platforms.
The option chosen is only valid for the publication in question. Anyone who wants to make it a rule to publish all their future posts simultaneously on Facebook and Instagram should indicate this decision in another area of the site, more specifically in the Account Center, one of the Settings configuration menus. The sharing option is not valid for text posts, GIFs, or albums with more than 10 photos.
