Higher Education Minister and BNA Governor sign Agreement supporting financial technology projects

The National Bank of Angola (BNA) and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation signed a memorandum of understanding in Luanda last 22 July to support the creation of business incubators to monitor technology projects. of the financial domain.

The agreement was signed by the governor of BNA, José de Lima Massano, and the Minister of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Maria do Rosário sambo. The minister said the agreement supports startup creation development programs at the Agostinho Neto University's college of engineering, where young people with entrepreneurial initiatives will emerge. The program is defined by stimulating the creation of environments where useful ideas for the elaboration of projects that will help to develop the society are promoted.

BNA administrator Pedro Castro e Silva said that the central bank's adherence to this initiative is based on observing the reality of other countries and universities, especially the United States, also said that the memorandum foresees the creation of a management committee that will include professionals from BNA and the Ministry of Higher Education, who once a month will take stock of the growth level of the companies involved in the program.
