The question is: are you prepared for Windows 8?

What has changed?

Windows 8 excelled in maintaining an environment that favors productivity, with a focus on content. This OS brings to the PCs an experience in usability only found in tablets and smatphones, for those who are "addicted" to App's they will quickly forget about the usual "computer programs", it is true! You will be surprised by this new way of using software.

One aspect that could become a big problem is the new function of the "Start" button, there will no longer appear that Menu so well known by all of us, that it works practically like a map. In the new Windows the thing became more "modern", when clicking the "Start" button arises a kind of "interactive work environment" with the applications displayed in a smart and very colorful way, it is almost like the new Windows Mobile found in the models recent Nokia Lumia, only with a different seasoning.

Where to download?

Downloading the Windows 8 Enterprise Evaluation version can be done through the link: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-US/evalcenter/hh699156.aspx?ocid=wc-tn-wctc

After opening the link go to the bottom of the page and you will find a green button with the name "Get Started Now". You may choose to choose the 32-bit or 64-bit version. According to Microsoft, Windows 8 can run on any computer that supports Windows 7.

How to install?

You have two options for installing this trial version of Windows 8:

  • The first option is to install from above (erasing the previous version) or next (creating a partition in the HD, not advised to the less experienced users) of your current system from the downloaded file, you can also record the image of the operating system in a DVD and Direct Boot Install
  • The second option is to install within your current system with VirtualBox, so you can uninstall it at any time without any changes to your current system. See a step-by-step tutorial on how to install Windows 8 with Virtual Box, posted on the AppTuts.com.br blog by clicking here.

Microsoft Notice

This is evaluation software designed for IT professionals interested in trying Windows Enterprise 8 on behalf of their organization. We do not recommend that you install this assessment if you are not an IT professional.

Conclusion

Well, certainly Windows 8 has evolved and mainly: innovated! What can be a "headache", especially for less experienced users (and for the lazy ones) is that they are different, they may choose to continue using Windows 7. But sooner or later they will have to adapt to new trends, or start thinking of moving to other platforms like Ubuntu or Mac, which will not be an easy task, either.

And you, how do you like the new Microsoft operating system? Have you tried it? Write a comment by sharing your experiences on the subject or even your aspirations and curiosities about the long-awaited Windows 8.
