The CEO of Spotify, Daniel Ek, announced during the company's most recent financial results presentation, for the first quarter, that the streaming service may undergo a price change in the near future.
It is worth remembering that this is not the first time that the executive chairman of the Swedish company has shown a willingness to change prices, with these new statements and indicate, however, that the moment is getting closer.

"I think we are ready to raise prices, I think we have the capacity to do that, but it will depend on the negotiations", said Ek according to the billboard website, noting that talks between the company and record labels are already underway.
Spotify announced that, in the first quarter, the company achieved revenue of three billion euros – which refers to an increase of 14% compared to the same period of 2022. Still, the company was slightly below investor expectations .
