Microsoft "killed" the menu (and the button) to start on Windows 8, to give prominence to its new interface, Metro (or another name that Microsoft will decide soon).
In the tests I could do, I missed the Start menu. It's the end of the World? No, but some people hated the new Microsoft operating system because of that detail.
Samsung felt the same and decided to remedy the situation by providing a "widget" that will replace the start menu. The widget will be called "S-Launch"And you can see an example on the photo taken from the site Mashable.
It seems that Samsung is trying to get its users closer to Windows 8, something Microsoft should do. It remains to be seen whether it will not be prosecuted for this too...

Great mambo. I liked the part "let's see if they will be sued for that too" :).
