Partner is the big winner of the Seedstars Luanda 2020

A Academia BAI was the stage chosen for the “parade” of the ten finalist startups of the contest Seedstars Luanda 2020. The event scheduled for 15:00 on 7 November, was disputed for the pass to the Regional competition and the possibility of competing for a place in the grand global final. The global winner will be able to raise up to 500 thousand USD in investments.

Seeing Norton he was the master of ceremonies and opened the event, introducing the Jury and informing that some startups would make the presentation remotely and others would be represented on stage.

The CEO and co-founder of Seedstars, Alisee de Tonnac, talked about the difficult times due to the pandemic and encouraged startups to continue their struggle. Still representing Seedstars, Zarina Gabdolova, responsible for the events in Europe and Asia, spoke about the activities of Seedstars, the objective of the contest, presented the rules of the final presentations and the prizes in dispute.

Board of Judges

Joel Epalanga spoke on behalf of KiandaHub about the challenges to organize this event, thanked the partners, sponsors and Startups present. Zedilson Almeida representing Unitel's innovation department, made some considerations. Luis Fernandes, Executive Director of Academia BAI, welcomed everyone present and spoke about the institution's projects.

First presentation session of Startups:

1. SUBSCRIBE - Software that allows companies to digitally manage and sign documents on any device anytime and anywhere with guaranteed security.

2. BENCH - Delivery and taxi orders in a single digital system. The same taxi that transports passengers also delivers goods of 2 kg or more.

3. HUMBITEC - Leverages geospatial and aerospace technology to improve life on earth, starting with precision agriculture.

4. IMO NExT App - A platform that fills the gap in the search and acquisition of properties, connecting advertisers to potential customers.

Carlos Jaime, director of operations for KiandaHub shared a video about the 2019 startup winner of Seedstars Luanda, Roque Online. Geraldine Geraldo, the CEO of Roque Online shared the motivations for the creation of the project and what is the social impact of it.

Augusto Baptista, represented Banco Atlântico and spoke about the digitalization process underway in banking.

Second presentation session of startups:

5. KIMPOVI - Connects lawyers to clients (individuals or companies), offering pre-prepared document templates and segmented legislation.

6. NAWABUS - Digital platform for searching, booking and selling tickets for interprovincial public transport.

7. PAY 3 - A platform that allows payment of services and products in installments.

8. PARTNER - An application that allows people to buy a product by sharing the account and the product in equal parts.

9. SSD - A platform that aims to reduce the distance between doctors and patients through Telemedicine.

There was no EPDRONES presentation - the reasons were not detailed.

3rd Place - Nawabus

2nd Place - SSD

1st Place - Partner

 

A Partner continues its impressive year, winning another prize, less than a month after winning the Unitel Go Challenge.
