Algerian startups will participate in the Angola Startup Summit 2024

The 2024 edition of Angola Startup Summit will feature startups from Algeria, according to what was revealed during a hearing between the President of the Board of Directors of the National Institute for Support to Small and Medium Enterprises (INAPEM), João Nkosi, with the Minister of Knowledge Economy, Startups and Micro companies from that African country, Yacine Oualid.

From what the MenosFios editorial team found out, the 3rd edition of the main national digital entrepreneurship event will take place in April 2024.

For the 2024 edition, the goal is to have more than 1.000 startups present at the event, which for the president of AASED, Lisa Videira, is a great challenge, but it ensures that your association will work hard, in partnership with INAPEM, to achieve this goal.

To achieve this, he said, it will be necessary to create and put into practice a plan for incubators and training programs, as well as “to hunt” new talents in the country's institutes and universities, with a view to transforming innovative ideas into concrete businesses.

It should also be noted that in addition to Algerian startups, the presence of Brazilian startups in the 3rd edition of the Angola Startup Summit is also confirmed, according to INAPEM's Head of Consulting and Technical Assistance Department, Alexandre Manuel, following Inapem's participation in the Startup Summit 2023, in the city of Florianópolis, State of Santa Catarina, in Brazil, organized by Sebrae (Brazilian Support Service for Micro and Small Businesses).

The Angola Startup Summit also has the objective of promoting the emergence of new Startups through the exchange of experience, allowing the optimization of business, investments and cooperation with institutions that intervene in the Startups ecosystem, as well as contributing to attract the interest of potential investors in technological projects.

Still on the next edition of the Angola Startup Summit, the idea is to bring together young people who create digital projects, where it is intended to put these young people with many good ideas, to be heard by investors and to have a better idea of ​​what they are to be done, and in this way banks can be mobilized to “buy” the ideas, make them grow and make them more sustainable to participate more actively in the process of promoting national production.
