Threads could be the next big social network, says Zuckerberg

Meta's founder and CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, took advantage of the company's most recent financial results presentation to talk a little about the company's new social network: Threads.

Zuckerberg admitted that Meta's experience with new applications over the years has not been the best, noting however that he is confident with Threads. "I'm highly confident that we're going to be able to pump enough fuel into [Threads] to help it grow.", said Zuckerberg.

BUT: Threads will gain three new features

With regard to the reasons that led Threads to be so well received by users, Zuckerberg does not seem to have a clear answer about it – admitting that it may be the case that he has benefited from the current moment experienced by his rival Twitter.

"Part of me wonders if this is a classic venture capital portfolio question, where you try a number of things and a variety of things don't work and every now and then one succeeds... such a particular case due to everything that is happening around Twitter, or X as it is now called", explained Zuckerberg.
