Total Energies provides free internet at its gas stations

the oil company Total Energy is making internet available free of charge at several of its fuel stations, with the aim of investing in the digital transformation of Angolan civil society.

With the implementation of this innovative project, for the Angolan reality, the oil company demonstrates sensitivity to the paradigm shift and positions itself as the first company in the sector to offer free internet to customers of its convenience stores.

According to what was revealed, the free Wi-Fi service is available at Total Energies filling stations in São Paulo, 11 de Novembro, Palanca and Manuel Van-Dúnem.

For the implementation of this free Wi-Fi project at gas stations and convenience stores, Total Energies chose the national startup WiConnect as a technological partner and solution provider.

The startup WiConnect, founded in 2015 and winner of SeedStars 2016, currently has more than 234.000 registered users who now benefit from free internet access in partnership with other Angolan companies such as Unitel, IPWorld and others.
