The prize "Southern Africa Startup Awards”Is part of the Global Startup Awards, a global competition to recognize the best talent in the global startup ecosystem. The competition initially chooses the best at the national level, then at the regional level and finally at the global level. The prize is divided into 4 different stages, which will be described below.
For the first time Angola has representatives for this contest. In this phase the voting is public and each one can help to take the name of the Angolan startups to other levels.

How was the Angolan Startups selection process?
1 Phase: Appointment opens
Any person can nominate a person, company or organization in all categories by country through an online nomination system.
2 Phase: Selecting National Finalists
A group of ambassadors from each country, through a selection process, evaluates the candidates and chooses the best talents based on the criteria of each category that are gathered in a restricted list.
3 Phase: Finding National Winners (Public voting)
Once the final list is published online, public voting for the National Finalists is opened via an online system. Each user can vote once per runner.
4 Phase: Finding Regional Winners (Public voting)
Once national winners are published online, public voting will be open.
5 Phase: Finding Global Winners (Public Voting)
When regional winners are published online, public voting is opened through an online system. Individuals can only vote once per finalist.
