According to statistics from the Angolan Institute of Communications (INACOM), analyzed by the Economy & Market newspaper, 2018, the year in which it registered 1.838.621 customers, was the best for national satellite television service operators since 2014.

The satellite television segment added a total of 1.811.184 subscribers in 2020, and 1.530.031 by the end of the 3rd quarter of 2021, making up a decrease of 281.153 subscribers.

Statistics also indicate that from the 1st to the 3rd quarter of last year, for example, the number of subscribers to this telecommunications segment had a consecutive drop of 90.135 customers who eventually stopped subscribing to satellite television services.

The data also show that a total of 1.620.166 people subscribed to the service in the 1st quarter of 2021. In the 2nd quarter it dropped to 1.594.408 and in the 3rd quarter it dropped even further to 1.530.031.

According to INACOM, from 2014 to 2018, pay-TV showed a positive trend in terms of subscribers, signaling 1.193.973 customers in the first year of the indicated period (2014), 1.270.959 in 2015, 1.292.324 in 2016, 1.473.430 .2017 in 1.838.621 and 2018 in XNUMX.

In 2019, however, the number of customers who subscribed to the satellite television service reduced to 1.791.631, having risen in the following year (2020) to 1.811.184 customers. However, in 2021, the number of customers skidded as shown by INACOM data.

The number of subscribers to the cable television service maintained a growing trend over seven years. From 2014 to 2021, it saw a growth of 81.080. In December 2014, cable television had 29.248 registered customers. In the 3rd quarter of 2021, the number of cable TV customers, according to INACOM, rose to 110.328.
