As if there were no longer enough reasons to visit Amsterdam, a hotel opened last week, the first with a gaming theme, the Arcade Hotel is located far enough from the bustle of Amsterdam's sights in the De Pijp and aims to become a beautiful retreat for Gamers looking for a place to stay after a tour of the city. All rooms at the hotel have a console and games at no extra cost, and in the hotel lounge there are extra controls for Multiplayer games.
In the Hotel lounge you can find shareable consoles and a comic bookstore for those who want to “go back to the past” reading DC classics, Dark Horse and Independent Releases. The owner, Daniel Salmanovich says it is making the hotel a special place for those who enjoy games. In the opening act there was a FIFA tournament and there are plans for the construction of a special room for games in the coming years and the extension of the number of rooms from 36 to 45.
I wanted to create a place where travelers and players can feel as if they were at a friend's house.
