Angola Tech Hub Forum: Event addressed Angola's leadership in digital transformation in Africa.

Yesterday (17) the 1st edition of the forum took place Angola Tech Hub 2022, organized by the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication (MINTTICS), in partnership with Internet Technology Angola (ITA), and in accordance with the theme proposed for this year by the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), the objective of the event was to reflect on the potential and development of ICT in Angola, seeking for new business solutions.

The event had national and international presences, of the highest level, from Telecommunications and Information and Communication Technologies, Banking and Insurance, Oil & Gas, start-ups and much more, such as Eng.º Wanderley Ribeiro (CEO of KEPYA), Eng.º André Mpumba Pedro (DG of INFOSI), Eng.º Gonçalo Routar Farias (AFRICELL), Engineer António Zumbuca Francisco (MOVICEL), Dr. Joaquim Muhongo (INACOM), Engineer Miguel Geraldes (UNITEL), Engineer Edson Pereira (ANGOLA TELECOM) and other names that in two periods addressed various topics related to robust infrastructures, such as catalysts for digital transformation, challenges and opportunities for technological advances in the context of the economy, infrastructure and regional integration in SADC and digital entrepreneurship as a promoter of diversification of the economy.

It should also be noted that the Angola Tech Hub 2022 was aimed at all representatives of the ICT ecosystem in Angola and individuals from various sectors and extracts, directly or indirectly linked to ICT.

Country to gain telecommunication interference monitoring center

Also at the event, it was revealed that the country will gain, starting this year, a Center for Monitoring and Management of the Radioelectric Spectrum to monitor interference in telecommunications systems.

The information was revealed by Manuel Homem, Minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication, stressing that the center will monitor interference that may arise not only in telecommunications operators, but also in different sectors.
