O Angotic, an information and communication technology event, will take place again after being suspended for 2 years due to the Covid-19 pandemic, according to the Minister of Telecommunications Information and Social Communication Technologies, Mário Augusto Oliveira.
The leader who was speaking at the inauguration, by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, of the Satellite Control and Mission Centre, in the Funda area, in Luanda, said that the “Angotic 2023” will be an international event with the presence of the main players in the telecommunications and information technology industry, including equipment manufacturers and academics, although the day and month of the event has not been specified.
Mário Oliveira stressed that the event will contribute to the promotion of the telecommunications and information technology industries, technological tourism, as well as to the updating of digital platforms in the promotion of precision agriculture, health, education, environmental preservation and scientific research.
To inform you that the last edition of Angotic was to take place on the 11th, 12th and 13th of June, but was canceled due to the covid-19 pandemic had ravaged the world, as well as in compliance with Presidential Legislative Decree No. 1/20, of March 18, which adopts measures to prevent the spread of the pandemic.
The 2020 edition would be dedicated for 'startups' to obtain funding and other 'inputs' for its development. The forum and fair would provide startups with an opportunity to sign financing agreements with banking institutions and other support aimed at technical and technological growth.
